About Amadeus Players

The Amadeus Players, an entry level group to the Salem Youth Symphonies, plays standard string literature of the orchestra. The music is challenging and exciting to perform with musicians who really want to grow in their performance skills.

It is wonderful to experience music with others from outlying areas, home-schooled students, and students from private and public schools in and around the valley. The orchestra begins the year with a rehearsal retreat in October filled with fun, getting to know one another, and a head start on the fall literature. Students may come not knowing one another, but great bonds of friendship are formed by the end. One of the goals of this orchestra is to develop a mature string sound while gaining a love for music literature and the art of performance. Our annual fall retreat at the 4-H center was held Friday-Saturday, October 4-5, 2013. The cost is included in the tuition. We look forward to a great upcoming year!
